LG Optimus With Google and LG Optimus Chic Unveiled

Today LG unveiled their upcoming LG Optimus Series which is to be the Korean manufacturer’s most advanced range of smartphone yet. LG will be introducing around ten new smart devices worldwide in the second half of this year under the Optimus banner and by providing handset on a range of different platforms, including Googles Android operating system.

First up are two Android powered handsets. The Google-tag is a big badge that LG are clearly proud to be wearing, so much so that they’re included it, long-form in the handset name. And so, we have the LG Optimus One with Google and the LG Optimus Chic, both of which will sport the latest version of Android – version 2.2 (Froyo).

The scatter-gun approach LG are taking is an attempt to challenge the idea that any single device can hope to cater for all people, who by definition are all very different. Its as opposite an approach to the smartphone game as you could imagine from Apple’s totemic way, it’ll be interesting in particular to see how the Google powered handsets in the range perform in comparison to the competition.
